As a program of the UT-Austin Mesoamerica Center, this annual conference draws scholars from a wide spectrum of relevant fields, as well as interested non-professionals, to interact creatively and share the most recent insights on Maya and Mesoamerican research.

Get Involved
Volunteer for The Maya Meetings!
There are many ways to get involved and time slots are flexible and convenient. Volunteering is a great way to interact with the pre-eminent figures in Maya Studies. You may volunteer for a few hours or a few days; schedules are flexible.
We currently need volunteers for the following assignments:
Conference Materials Bags: Volunteers are needed to stuff the conference bags that all attendees will receive.
Hospitality/Information Desk: Volunteers are needed to staff the Hospitality/Information Desk, which will provide attendees and guests information about local attractions, restaurants and transportation throughout the conference.
Registration: Volunteers are needed to check-in attendees and distribute conference materials (name badges, conference bags, etc.).
Photographer: Volunteers are needed to take pictures of conference highlights, including the Opening Remarks and the Keynote Speaker’s address.
